Yeah, I think that the GBA has had some of the best RPG's of the past couple of years. Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age for starters and then there is my favorite on the GBA Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

This may seem a little old school, but I have always considered Legend of Zelda-A Link to the Past, to be an incredible RPG. The story was engaging, puzzles were sometimes mindbenders, and once you ran through it the first time, you could go back and play the entire game in one day. Finding all the secrets was enjoyable too. I currently own an Xbox, and it is sadly lacking in RPG's... I have considered purchasing a PS2 just for the RPG titles they have. (Fable on Xbox is incredible though...)

I love the original .Hack series so much. The music, the story, it's all so great. GU isn't as good as the originals imo. I mean, there better graphics and everything, but the story pails in comparison, as does the music. With the original series you get a full on real experience like your a person playing the game, not like your you playing the game. You feel like your the person palying Kite.

Anyway. It's awesome. Especially the Root Town 1 music.

I honestly haven't finished many RPGs aside from the Final Fantasy.
