Console Shooters and PC Shooters are on diffrent levels. Halo is a great game btw Its just that PCs have better Shooters. Problem is you cant compare based on Games alone. Without a mid range to high end system you wont be enjoying any PC game. That will cost some cash and I dont think I could game on anything less that a $1,000 PC. AS with a Console its just 300 to 400 depending on how much you really want to spend. Online fees cost some money but PCs have their own Fees (MMOs).

Yes but Price is relevent here. To play a good PC FPS you need a good computer. That will cost you. While on a console you pay at most 400 dollars and it all works fine. I agree games have importance but at the moment the Xbox and PS2 shooters have a massive advantage due to price.

I just rented Star Wars Battlefront II for my PS2.

The prohibitive feature preventing me from buying it is the lag online. My connection is DSL and it's never, ever been that bad. It's hard to find low ping connections. Lame.

I may purchase it for the addictive offline mode though... that alone is worth a buy. I've got 'til wednesday to decide whether or not online is another worthwhile feature.

I put my thoughts on it over in the Final Fantasy forum. In short, it was ok; I didn't dislike it and I wasn't completely blown away either. It felt like you were running an instance in an offline FFXI. It was entirely combat (not even a single word uttered by any of the characters), so I can't really comment on anything regarding the story.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, is that the people that paid $35 for it on ebay got screwed. All of the characters had generic magic, no defining skills. There wasn't a single thing there to sell the non-believers and not a single thing there to satiate the fans. I don't know how the game'll turn out, but the demo was really half-assed.

Dragon Quest VIII on the other hand, is worth every damned penny you pay for it.

I pre-ordered Suikoden V. :) I've heard lots of great things from those who are playing the Japanese version. Thank god the Suikoden name can redeem itself after IV.

March 28th!!! It's the official date as well, not just speculation. It's only $40 if you pre-order it from Gamestop. I'm not sure if it's just online (where I ordered from) or also in stores. I'm so happy to hear that it's a very good game from those who are playing it. Blue Moon AKA Sars (biggest Suikoden fan on the net) also had nothing but praise for it. From the movies I've seen it just seems excellent. Everything you could possibly want back from the 2D games + the skill system from 3 are back in action. Apparently it has a great story and deep character development. It was said that about 6 hours worth of game play in V is the equivalent of all of IV plot wise. The wait is killing me.

I also just found a used copy of Star Ocean: The Second Story and bought it for $12. GameCrazy only had the first disc but they are special ordering the second disc and not charging me for it, so that's okay. I was thinking I was going to have to use e-bay to find this thing.

Now if only I could find Valkyrie Profile and Tales of Destiny...
