Well, I decided to delete my old thread & make a new more organized one. Since there is a limit of characters I can have in a post I am limited & I must post images in more than one post since I have so many. In my old thread it was kinda random & felt sloppy.

Well, if you signup, it says you can do multiple uploads. Signing up is free, but I've never tried it.

Well the place I upload the images too has a limit of like 1500 megs a months.

I will just upload at Imageshack from now on & I'll have to re-upload all the others so there down right now.


PS- About your Kampfer avatar, for some odd reason the volume 2 DVD won't run on my PC DVD-Rom drive. It plays that FBI warning thing & then it just stops & gives me an error. The DVD doesn't have any scratches really & it works perfect in my DVD player. I have no idea why it won't run. I'll see if I can rip the DVD or something.

Yeah it sucks when an avatar that could turn out great ends up not looking good at 80 X 80. The weird thing is I turned the brightness up really high and it still looks really dark at 80 X 80.

People have asked me this more than once & this is what I'v said^_^

I just use Power DVD first. Goto the scene you wanna make an avatar & press "T" to go frame by frame on that scene & with each frame I press "C" which takes a screenshot of the frame. Since they save as .bmp(which are kinda big) I have to convert the files into .jpeg with something simple like MS Paint. Once I have them all converted I use Ulead GIF Animator 5 to make the avatar, insert all the frames into it. Then I must carefully adjust the size(& position) of the image, not to make it to small so you can't see anything & such. I now have to set the avatar to under 20KB so I adjust the color & other things, most of the time I must delete frames to have decent or good color. I think my limit is mostly 10-15 frames per avatar.

Great job on the avatars Levon. All of them are really cool. The only thing I can say is I'd like to see some more Azumanga Daioh ones. Especially a couple of Chiyo-Chan in the penguin costume. :P When or if you ever get the time to do more, I'd really like it.

Yeah, you have to adjust the size & position. I thought I PM'd you telling you all the info:lol:

I mean you had to adjust the size of the image to get it 80 X 80 right? Just don't make it so small, make the size bigger. Try maybe 200 X --- (the 2nd one will adjust auto). Keep adjusting til you get the right size, then move image so it fits in the 80 X 80 frame. Then use the same numbers of the size & position for each frame.

Yea, I noticed that. For some reason when you right click on a person's avatar, even if it's a gif, it saves it as a bitmap image, which is really weird. I wonder why it does this?

I made 12 SD Gundam avatars BUT I found out the limit seems to be 5 images per post. thats just insane, thats worse than we use to have it(10 images per post).

So what I'm thinking of doing is making a web site with my avatars. Where you can choose the anime you wanna see avatars of.

Yeah Geocites can be a pain but I already had a web layout all set from my old Zoids site so I just used that same layout. That speeded up posting the site.

Theres no way to expand it without it looking all blocky & bad quality. Its best to just redo it at 100 X 100.

But I still have requests for Love Hina & Last Exile avatars ^_^ I think I'll get working on Love Hina. Last Exile seems like it would be hard to make an avatar. A comedy shows like Love Hina where they show a character doing something silly & the animation is repeated can be very easy to make compared to a serious show like Last Exile & even RahXephon.

Anyone interested in Galaxy Angel or Gunsmith Cats avatars? I can also do more Gundam SEED since I now have volume 2 & 3.

But I think to focus eyes on light text hurts eyes. thats why text is almost always black.

Though this doesn't really have much to do with avvies, if you liked Wing, check out Gundam Seed. I bought the first DVD of it and watched it subbed and really enjoyed it. At first I thought it was awful from watching maybe like 10 minutes of a couple of episodes on Cartoon Network. By the way, I tried making some avvies of Sandrock from Endless Waltz, but all the cool scenes of him are way too many frames. Like the part where he slices through the steel door and then they fly down to earth. Also the part where they come in to help Noin and Zechs and Sandrock slices through a bunch of mobile suits. I tried. :( I will get to making some Noin avvies as soon as I get the chance, but I did make another Deathscythe Hell avvy from Endless Waltz, nothing special, but it's decent. Seems like most of the cool scenes in EW take too many frames to make them into avatars. :mad:
