It took me a bit to think of 10 Weapons but here they are.....

Tessaiga for me.
Mikadzuki Tatsu
August 22nd, 2004, 06:20 PM
If I were a hanyou and were capable of wielding Tetsusaiga, that's what I would choose. If I were a youkai and were capable of wielding a demon blade, I would chose Toukijin. If I were human, I would choose to wield Hiraikotsu. If I were a miko I would wield reiryoku.
Kagura Hakubi
August 22nd, 2004, 06:20 PM
My own fan. What did you expect?
But it's just a piece of paper and wood. The power is mine.
Oh... that "hook and chain" thing? If you mean Kohaku's weapon, it's called a Kusari-gama, which litterally means "chain-sickle".

August 22nd, 2004, 06:20 PM
Heh, you thought of Tessaiga last? Come on man, that's like, THE weapon! ^_^
But anyway, if I could actually use it in it's fully powered form (and, you know, carry it), I'd take the Tessaiga. It has a variety of functions, and I'd love to say "Kaze no kizu". That just SOUNDS cool. ;)
Gerudo Grunt
August 22nd, 2004, 06:25 PM
Toukijin would be my first choice. Sacred arrows and Tetsusaiga would be my second and third choices.
Knives122
August 22nd, 2004, 06:27 PM
Toukijin/tetsusaiga for me, second choice would be my own metal arm

Tenseiga for me. Why kill when you can heal?
clamp_fan12
August 22nd, 2004, 06:30 PM
Tenseiga first, then the wind fan or Kanna's mirror...though...why do these weapons just sound so not powerful to me? *sigh*
Kagura Hakubi
August 22nd, 2004, 06:34 PM
because the wind fan is the one with direct, flashy-explosion style offensive capabilities.
clamp_fan12
August 22nd, 2004, 06:46 PM
Wow *claps* very nice wording...

But the Tenseiga can revive an invinsible army of ninja's and samari....also who ever holds it can't be killed. "episode True holder of the great sword"
Hankoubou
August 22nd, 2004, 06:50 PM
They can be killed with melee combat, just nothing like the Kaze no Kizu, if I were to chop off Sesshoumaru's head with a good old katana, nothing much the Tenseiga can do about it, of course I could never get that close.

Has it ever been shown that Tenseiga can revive a person more than once?
Kagura Hakubi
August 22nd, 2004, 06:58 PM
It's been used... what... three times in the anime and only twice in the manga? There's not enough evidence to work it out.
Hankoubou
August 22nd, 2004, 07:00 PM
Three times in the anime?
I only remember Rin and Jaken, who else was revived by it?
Kagura Hakubi
August 22nd, 2004, 07:03 PM
It was used to "kill" the Cat Lord guy by ressurecting the people who's souls he'd stolen.
Pie King
August 22nd, 2004, 07:06 PM
Cat Lord Guy? But It was use to revive the demon the Tokajin was made from.
Kagura Hakubi
August 22nd, 2004, 07:19 PM
oh yeah, we both forgot that one. That makes it 3 in the Manga and 4 in the Anime, then.

August 22nd, 2004, 07:50 PM
I would have to go with the Tessaiga...
Yoshio
August 22nd, 2004, 08:02 PM
i'd have to say tessaiga or toukijin, tessaiga has so many different abilities that it makes you wonder who wouldnt want it, toukijin also has different abilities, like that being able to shoot numerous shots of energy or some other htings i cant remember

heh, I know... but with both swords having similar names and both having a variety of spellings that are used, sometimes I like to just describe which one I'm talking about. :P

heh, I know... but with both swords having similar names and both having a variety of spellings that are used, sometimes I like to just describe which one I'm talking about. :P
Yeah...the spellings are weird! When the name of Inuyasha's sword is written in Japanese it's Tessaiga. When it's in english, it's Tetsusaiga. >.>
Anyway...I'll go with the arrows. ^_^ Why? I like Archery. Plain and simple. Hehehe...

August 23rd, 2004, 06:35 AM
I go with the arrows facing demon long range combat and with holy power can have good advantage. My second choice is chain and hook, range combat and melee when it time to get up close and personal.

Yes, Kazaana is considered a weapon (although I don't see why anyone would want that curse).
Kagura Hakubi
August 23rd, 2004, 05:17 PM
It's considered a Power because it doen't involve a solid focus to use (Like, for example, our wind powers)

August 25th, 2004, 03:52 PM
I think I recall the Tenseiga having the power to give life to the dead. Even if only once, that means I have the power of a God. Plus it protected against Inuyasha's most powerful attack. I would, certainly, choose to weild the Tenseiga.
JOJO
August 25th, 2004, 03:59 PM
I'd choose the Tenseiga for it's healing. I can always attack with something else.

August 25th, 2004, 04:20 PM
But Tensiaiga has some "interesting" offensive capabilities which will be revealed soon. :)
Kagura Hakubi

... not really. It wasn't used to attack. It's methods just happened to have that effect...

I still say that the best thing to take is kaze-no-chikara. You're not limited to just violent junk with your gift then. It's the only one of those options that I can't think of causing me any moral dillemas.

August 28th, 2004, 02:02 PM
Definately the Toukijin!!! Not only do I LOVE how it can throw dark energy at people, I also like its other attack...from the third movie...if I could have another of those weapons too, It'd be the Tensaiga. With its protection and the Toukijin's power, I'd be invincable! *wicked smile*
darkphoenix16
August 28th, 2004, 08:56 PM
ID want Toukijin as well. The Tessaiga is far too big for me :). The tensaiga is kida neat but Id rather not be bothered everyday to revive lost pets, friends, relatives, etc..
darkphoenix16
August 28th, 2004, 08:57 PM
Kagura, are you actually the humanoid representation of the wind or just a wind demon? I am a little confused as in the Anime you can be quoted as saying "I am the wind".
Kagura Hakubi
August 28th, 2004, 09:13 PM
As far as I can tell, Naraku created a body, and then captured a small part of the wind's soul to power it - in the same was Urasue had to take part of Kagome's soul to power the Kikyou body.
Knives122
August 28th, 2004, 09:15 PM
how can you take part of an elements soul, what did he put it in a jar and said this is a small peice of the winds being.
darkphoenix16
August 28th, 2004, 09:19 PM
As far as I can tell, Naraku created a body, and then captured a small part of the wind's soul to power it - in the same was Urasue had to take part of Kagome's soul to power the Kikyou body.
That is very cool.
Kagura Hakubi
August 28th, 2004, 09:21 PM
Simple... you can take the wind's soul in the same way as anything else's soul... trick it into manifesting and then clap the irons on. In this case, he made a body for it that suited it's whims of the moment, the wind moved in, and bam! trapped.
And no. It's not cool. I speak from experience.
darkphoenix16
August 28th, 2004, 09:22 PM
So what do you think would happen if Naraku killed Kagura by breaking her heart (physically)? Would the wind cease to exist?
Kagura Hakubi
August 28th, 2004, 09:25 PM
No, she would achive her freedom - after a fashion. The body is killed, allowing the soul to pass on - but the wind would not, because it's only a portion of the soul that's trapped in Kagura. The wind would become as strong as before it was captured as the parts of the soul are re-united.
darkphoenix16
August 28th, 2004, 09:27 PM
So perhaps Kagura's only chance at freedom is the death of her body...although she fears that greatly. This would make things very interesting. I might be misunderstanding you though.
Kagura Hakubi
August 28th, 2004, 09:29 PM
If she dies, she'll become one with the wind, and free... however, she wishes personal freedom of body rather than spirit. So it would be like offering someone a cake, then buying them a cookie.
Spiritbomb
August 28th, 2004, 09:31 PM
I would like to have Kanna's Mirror.
darkphoenix16
August 28th, 2004, 09:33 PM
Ok, I think I know what you mean now. I really like the character Kagura, I wish she was more powerfull though, or at least flaunted it a little more. I would like the "badguys" to be after naraku too rather than the typical badguy/goodguy setup, unless you consider Sesshomaru a bad guy, or Kikyou. You all know I don't read the manga so maybe this has happened already.
Kagura Hakubi
August 28th, 2004, 09:43 PM
Sesshoumaru is DEFINITLY a badguy. I don't know how you can see him as anything else... he's normally openly hostile to the main character. Kouga's a "bad guy" as well.
darkphoenix16
August 28th, 2004, 09:51 PM
I don't see Sesshoumaru as a badguy because he hasn't killed InuYasha yet although he has had several chances. Even if it is true he didn't do so our of honor or whatever, at least he has morals etc...which makes him good in my books. He also defends others on countless occasions. THis is coming from my Anime-only perspective remember. I dont have an opinion on kouga either way...I havent thought about that enough to have an answer. Hmm...on the other hand, if Kagura was actively combating Naraku I would probably see her as a good guy as well...and then I would be complaining on why no bad guys fight him. So I guess I make no sense :)
Well maybe not...it depends on whether she attaced InuYasha and gang as well. Or sliced or defenseless butterflies with her "wind blades" :)

The Arrow, I'm very good at archery I got a near bull's eye at camp.
Kagura Hakubi
August 29th, 2004, 02:54 PM
Custard, Emma, Bullseye is darts...
Kagura attacks the ikkou only twice. Naraku stops using her as an offensive tool after that, 'cause we're outclassed.
Hankoubou
August 29th, 2004, 03:03 PM
The center on a targetboard is a bullseye for a shooting range as well, at least that is always what it has been refered to anytime I have heard it.
Kagura Hakubi
August 29th, 2004, 03:23 PM
The centre of an archery target's proper, technical name is the Gold. But most archers - around here, at least - call it the Custard, or just The Middle.
Anyone who thinks otherwise has been playing too many FPS.
If you don't think I know what I'm talking about, I'll bring up the fact that I've done archery solidly for the last two years.
Hankoubou
August 29th, 2004, 03:25 PM
I'm not saying your wrong, but everywhere I have heard one used in topic, it has been a bullseye. I don't do archery as much as I use to, but I still enjoy my rifle.

the tensiega is the coolest weapon ever, its made out of a giant dog deamon fang!how much more bad a$$ can u get?
Kagura Hakubi
September 2nd, 2004, 01:45 PM
You want a weapon more "bada$$" than Tenseiga? Tetsusaiga. It's made from a giant dog-demon fang, but it actually LOOKS like a giant dog-demon fang, and can kill stuff.
Ronin
September 4th, 2004, 09:29 AM
I would choose the Tenseiga
1. When I hold it I can't be killed
2. I could bring an army under my control by bringing them back to life
3. None of my friends would ever stay dead
Kagura Hakubi
September 4th, 2004, 01:57 PM
Loss is part of us. I've seen what happens when death is cheapened - people can't deal when it eventually IS permanant. (see? games are useful for something).
I would NEVER give ANYONE, not even the Dalai Lama or Christ the Tenseiga.
Mikadzuki Tatsu
September 4th, 2004, 02:09 PM
Agreed. Sometimes staying alive forever can be worse than dying. (Take Yuta from Mermaid Saga, for example--alive 500 years and sick of it.) I think Sesshoumaru was given Tenseiga so he could learn to care enough for someone to want to save that person; but he also knows when it is time to save someone and when it is better to let them stay dead. Having a weapon like Tenseiga requires a lot of responsibility; it's not a weapon for just anyone.
NakedEYE666
September 4th, 2004, 02:53 PM
Well I would only use the Tenseiga's abilities to save myself from fatally stupid mistakes... like that time when Jesus killed that one kid.

inuyasha's is the tenseiga, right?
eXdriver
September 7th, 2004, 03:00 PM
The chain hook because to me it seems like the weapon that needs the most skill in order to use it correctly and effectively, and I like the fact that it is one of the most realistic weapons seen in Inuyasha.
Mikadzuki Tatsu
September 7th, 2004, 03:43 PM
inuyasha's is the tenseiga, right?
No. Inuyasha's weapon is the Tetsusaiga. The Tenseiga belongs to Sesshoumaru.
SockMan!
September 7th, 2004, 04:11 PM
I would choose the staff for it's versatility. After all, it's not every day that I want to kill people and things. I could use it as a walking stick or for non-lethal combat (if I had the training).
Kagura Hakubi
September 7th, 2004, 10:43 PM
It's not hard to use a staff for combat without training - it's more difficult to use a Shaku-staff, though, becaues of the extra weight. The problem with carrying a shaku-staff is that everyone will immediatly assume you're a buddhist priest.

Why isn't the sword from the 3rd movie on the list, I think it's called the Souuga. I would definitely choose to use that sword.
Sheri_Chan

Tenseiga for me. Why kill when you can heal?
Exactly ^__^
But my second choice would probably be Sango's hiraikotsu.
Knives122
September 8th, 2004, 01:07 PM
If you had a sword like toukijin would you really need a sword to heal you, if they never touch you
Kagura Hakubi
September 8th, 2004, 01:40 PM
Healing blades have a much larger "usability" than normal ones. You don't have to be able to kill to defeat anyone who attacks you in this world. In fact, if you draw a weapon in a fight IRL, expect someone to be killed. Unless it's Tenseiga, in which case you can take people OOA without killing them.
Mikadzuki Tatsu
September 8th, 2004, 02:32 PM

I think perhaps because that third sword only exists in the movie?
venom112
September 8th, 2004, 05:45 PM
I would wield The VENOM. It's a weapon that makes both Inu-Yasha's and Sesshomaru's swords combined look like toothpicks (not the regular kind either, the safety toothpicks that aren't very pointy). If I actually have to wield a weapon that exists in Inu-Yasha, then I'd just go with the other swords. Surely if the weapon that Inu-Yasha carries is from his father's tooth, well, let's just say it's grave robbin' time.
