There are eight volumes. I can't tell if it's finished or ongoing. I'll try to do some research on it.

I can't find an actual release date for volume 7, but it looks like the volumes have been released a year or so apart - volume 5 in Jan 05' and volume 6 in Jan '06, etc... so more than likely it will be released eventually.

Considering that Seraphic Feather is one of Dark Horse's older series from the Super Manga Blast days (though I don't know if it actually ran in it), it may well have been discontinued.

According to animeondvd.com it is still being translated here in the US. SPeaking of which, I need to get volumes 5 & 6. :)

According to Carl Horn at Anime Weekend Atlanta, there aren't any plans to continue those series that didn't conclude prior to Super Manga Blast's demise. He said there was a reason SMB was cancelled (didn't sell well) and didn't anticipate Dark Horse would support any further releases of the titles that anthology contained. Sorry.

Sorry, I'm just relating what the guy from the Dark Horse panel said. I'm not trying to put words in his mouth. He said it's tough because as a fan he can empathize with liking a series and then having it just quit, but I guess from a business standpoint they don't feel it's successful enough to continue and are turning their attention towards other things.

argh! that's another never ending series i "wasted" money on (from the same publisher no less!). these kind of decisions i feel only make people more cautious about buying lesser known stuff and producing even lower sales. so back to the OP's question, is the series still going or did it end around volume 8? thanks to everyone who provided info and put my mind at ease a little.
