Alright, fans of shoujo-ai and Azumanga Daioh must agree with me that Azumanga has shoujo-ai potential! I mean just think about it(for those who haven't). Anyway I'm curious to see if I'm the only one...so do you agree or not? And if you do I want you to list couples you like/like to see. Thanks so much for your participitation :P

On genaral principals I prefer

Tomo Yomi; Sakaki Kagura. I've no preference for the rest, however I have enjoyed Yomi Sakaki; Osaka Tomo, one ongoing fic (Warm Days) may become
Kagura Nyamo, personally I'd prefer Kagura Sakaki in that one (it's not ruled out) but time will tell. One fic I adore has as the focus a Tomo Kaorin relationship, sadly it's gone un-updated for two months :'(. I find it a little hard to believe that Chiyo could have a meaningful romantic relationship with someone so much older than her at her age. Later on five years wouldn't be so much of a gap.
What I'm saying is I like any fic when the characters are in character. Of course 'In Character' is a highly subjective and flexible concept. How can we know how a character would react in a brand new situation?

A drastic change of situation would cause a sudden change in how a character acts. Taken out of context thst would be considered to be OoC. Furthermore a profound change in circumstance would cause long term behaviour change (i.e. Character Growth).
Remember character development is not a plot hole.

I guess what I'm saying is I'm not fussed on parings as long as the fic is entertaiing.

Sakaki/Kaorin could work if Kaorin sees Sakaki's true personality. Most of the time when confronted with Sakaki's cute fetish Kaorin isn't at all phased. (the rest of the time she's like : SAKAKI-SAAAAAAN!)

If they could get a few days alone together I'm confident they could build a real relationship.

Hey, I just came across this really good KaguraXYomi fic called, "Is This Love That I'm Feeling." It is actually surpriseingly good. But if you stopped and thought for a second then the pairing would make sense. Kagura is very energetic and spontanious like Tomo but kind hearted and level headed. She is athletic and a bit taller so it would make some sense. Plus there are a whole venue of situations and possibilities there. That pairing is like an unexplored region of the fanfiction universe. Ok, that's going overboard slightly...sorry...

Actually....isn't Chiyo only 12 at the end of the series? She starts high school at age 10 (which is equivalent to 10th grade, since high school in Japan is only 3 years). So, 10th grade = 10 years old, 11th grade = 11 years old, 12th grade = 12 years old. Right?

Although in the dub, I do find it funny when she randomly throws Spanish into conversations. Don't et me wrong, the Azu dub is by far better than a lot of anime out there. There are a few things that run into translation problems, but they try hard, especially for the manga.

About the sign, Goodness! I've been doing that for years. Maybe it's about my fear that people will forget me.

Anyway, while Chiyo-chan would be an "Ideal" match for Yomi, it's not going to happen. Yomi's a masochist, plus she just loves Tomo. She doesn't need an explanation, since love usually doesn't make sense. I think tht just adds to the entire charm of their relationship.
