Neither. Can't say I agree with each sides idealogy. I would say Zeon, but it's lead by madmen and idiots and it is a dictatorship. The Federation, although a representive democracy, is run by a bunch of greedy idiots who only care about themselves. A revolution is needed but Zeon wouldn't fit the bill for ideal leadership. I'd have to strike out on my own and form my own group (something like A.E.U.G.),

Well, for one I think you need to be more specific.Which Sides MS you would want to pilot is different from which side you would want to be on.

what about dozle zabi? in any case i believe that for the most part the front line zeon soldiers and pilots weren't fighting for the Zabi family but for each other.That's what draws me to their cause.

Most of the Zeon populace was not for any sort of Dictatorship. Gihren was a really good speaker, and by touting things like "Justice!" and "Freedom!" (whoo boy... SEED runs deeper than we think...) he could move the people of Zeon to carry out his heinous plot.

But he was killed before the one year war so that point is moot, the Zeon at the time of the OYW where led by the Zabis who wanted control of the entire solar system.

I chose the Federation. Im not a big fan of Zeon, or Nazism for that matter. They had cool suits, but they didnt have the RX-79 G Gundam, which is my fav. Gundam.

If I had a chance to fight in the OYW I most probably would join Zeon under command of Kycilia Zabi as a General or Admiral. My goal? To convince the charismatic Kycilia that she and not Gihren must control Zeon (with me at her side of course). After all from history we can see that not all dictatorships are bad. I will reform Zeon to become the next Roman empire. Then sooner or later the while of time will make the Zeon nation disappear an will replace it with something else, because this is the way the history is working.
And besides I won't destroy the EF and promote the independence of all earth-sphere states so anyone will have alternative to my empire, if they won it anyway.
And I kind of like the uniforms of Zeon :P .

Neither. I've always thought that the whole meaning behind the OYW era is the fact that there are great and terrible people on both sides. They differed in idealogy and personal beliefs, but at the root of it all there were some genuinely good people in both the Federation and the Zeon.

That's one of the reasons I enjoyed the UC timeline so much.
