FFX: Auron's Masamune

0ok, there is a problem i am having obtaining a certain weapon. its Auron's legendary weapon, The Masamune.
You're supposed to go to the Calm Lands and get the RUSTY SWORD in the area near the cave of Yojimbo.
I took the sword to the Lord Mi'hen statue at Mushroom rock and put it in the ground.
I Have Acquired the Mars Sigil and Crest, but when i go over to the Glyph at the far wall, it says it won't open. What am I supposed to do? am i supposed to insert the Mars Sigil/ Mars Crest into something? here are the events:

1.got the sword
2.inserted into ground near statue
3.went to go and find Mars Crest, and caught all the Fiends in order to get the Mars Sigil from the Guy at the Calm Lands.
4. went back to the Statue and tried hitting X at the Glyph on the wall, say "it won't open". what is it that that i'm supposed to do?

Just input the password 'Masamune' into the airships 'input' option. This will reveal the weapons secret location on the map and will now appear on the destination list.

That is if u have the airship yet.

its ok, i got it now, that Password you gave me is actually MARUSAME. that isn't his Legendary weapon. His Legendary weapon is the MASAMUNE. it can acquire the abilities Break Damage Limit, Triple Overdrive and some others.
the one you gave me is his Crusader weapon. it's not as good as his other. I have actually beaten the game, i just like to carry on with other stuff like get everything.

Ok dude heres what u have to do to get the masamune at is full potential
u didnt mentionned it.. but u need the celestial mirror which is the cloudy mirror acquired from the chocobo race at the remiem temple , once u get the cloudy mirror , head to macalania wood and look for a lost mom and her son ... she will tell u shes waiting for her husband , then u go at the very start of macalania wood ... and ull meet the husband and wife looking for their lost son ... he is on a rainbow road north of that place ( north east of the save sphere) the son will ytell uthat he found a magical place so u go over that shining thing and held the cloudy mirror which become the celestial mirror ... which needed to open the glyph at the mihen statue .. then u head back to the magical place where ug ot the celestial mirror and u press x and follow the step if u got any question email me
