I bought a decent amount of manga over the weekend, mainly cause Borders' going out of business sale is at 60 or 70% off manga, don't remember exactly.

Labyrinth of Amnesia 2 (don't have number 1 yet, but I've been sort of interested in the series)
Negima! 20, 26,27, and 28. (I'm missing quite a few still)
Spice & Wolf 2,3, and 4 (wasn't really planning on collecting this, but I have the first one and the next 3 were super cheap)

I'd always wanted to read this series, but I kept putting it off. Now that I have the first few volumes in my hands, I think the storyline is very promising but the actual execution could have been done better. All of the characters seem melancholy and lost in their own ways, yet I don't feel much for any of them yet. Ah, well, I'll probably read all seven volumes regardless because the story intrigues me so.

Songs to Make You Smile (short story collection from Natsuki Takaya)

I didn't even know this existed until about a month ago, so I'm glad to have a copy in my hands. Since I'm not much of a fan of Takaya-sensei's old art style (present in Phantom Dream and Those with Wings), this was more of a "loyalty purchase" than anything else.

The stories will probably be cute, though -- and maybe even a little bittersweet.

-Fullmetal Alchemist volumes 24-26 - I'd been procrastinating when it came to buying these latest volumes since they certainly are the "countdown to the end." I just can't believe in a month's time this series that I've been following since 2005 will be over. I read the last chapter when it was published in Japan last year, but this time the end really does feel undeniably final.

-Sailor Moon volume 1 - I own most of the original Tokyopop volumes, but I couldn't resist buying the new authentic edition.

-Codename Sailor V volume 1 - And no purchase with the new Sailor Moon would be complete without Sailor V's American debut.

Finally found a copy of TokyoPop's Full Metal Panic novel 3 "Into the Blue" :)

Even though TokyoPop DID print novel 4, which is readily available pretty much everywhere, novel 3 must have been short printed; it's near impossible to find, and if you do, it's over $50 used, and it's between $100-200 new. I had bid on an auction for novels 1-3 (only actually needing the 3rd), and I lost it at $51. The only other auction for it was originally 'buy it now' for $100, but luckily, that was dropped to $50, and seeing as how I was willing to buy it for $50 anyway, I bought it. It just arrived today (2 days later) and it's definitely in 'like new' condition. While it certainly sucks paying $50 for something with a retail price of $9.99, I think it was well worth it (for me) considering the circumstances (and now the hunt is over!^_^)

It is definitely disappointing but I figured I'd go ahead and collect what has been released. I feel the same way as you though if I haven't started collecting a series already. If I had never bought any Gin Tama I probably wouldn't now either.

Today I purchased- Eden its an endless world vol1+2, and Naussica the valley of the wind vol1-3. Both look pretty good with decent art work. Now its just a case of waiting for amazon to deliver! Also does anyone know any good sites to purchase manga from?

d.grayman volume19- its the best manga!
berserk vol1+2- read start of volume 1 on line thought it looked pretty good
Durarara!! vol1+2- recommended by my buddy, not even sure what its about let alone if its good!
tegami bachi vol5- yes its a bit soppy but love the art and feel story could really grow (guilty pleasure)


So now its all down to how long postman takes till I can tell you what I liked!
