But heck, if GOS2 is from the people who made Eva then an Evangelion\Metal Gear crossover wouldn't make people even bat an eye. They already have war on terror action figures of Rei and Asuka. And yeah, I'm guessing that would be your GOS2 image torrent.

After beating MGS2 (albeit on Very Easy...) and seeing that surreal ending that gave me EoE flashbacks, a crossover doesn't seem like such a far-fetched concept. But the two series are fscked-up enough that they really don't need the other's help.

JA carried a nuclear reactor... Not far removed from a nuclear warhead. Turn Shiro Tokita and his minions into a terrorist organization, and turn JA into a Metal Gear, and voila! It has "classic" written all over it!

Not sure about the others. There are a few possibilities. You can always coopt characters from Gunbuster and Nadia if you run out of people to play one-game villains. (Make sure Nadia is Vulcan Raven. I can just see her lugging that enormous gun around.) And there are the EU characters, too. Mana + bloody death = good.

If you do "Snake Eater", Naked Snake is, of course, Yui. I can see her with an eye patch, can't you? While Solid Rei still kills her off at the end of ... whichever game that was, Big Boss Ikari's soul is salvaged into Metal Gear Megami, which, unbeknownst to all, is launched into space and, due to its divine status, embarks on a journey to make sure that death-dealing, nuclear warhead-equipped instruments of doom are around long after the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth are destroyed.

Well... Evas are SUPPOSED to be giant humans. Apparently that wasn't good enough for Keel, so he had Takeshi Honda draw up something he liked, and then he told his favorite bioengineer, "I don't care how you do it! Make me THAT!" "As you wish, Herr Lorenz!"

Far as head/neck anatomy goes: Hard to resolve this one, since the harpies aren't consistently drawn between the various animators. I don't find them anywhere near as haw--, er, aesthetically alluring as the "normal" Evas, so I haven't made many efforts to figure it out. My usual take is that the neck itself isn't very long, and it's an illusion created by the ... Bah, when I have some pictures, I'll let you know. :P

I mean, when you're a gay, Kabbalistic cyborg, most of your time is taken up by engineering the "return to the beginning", pulling the world's strings, and being a manipulative and depraved SOB. Allen? He's more than an interesting case, and for some bizarre reason we never seen his eyes in the series. The only real hangup in this relationship, is Allen's tendency to kill everything that moves and giggle and smile while doing so. Maybe Keel should look into e-harmony or something.

JA carried a nuclear reactor... Not far removed from a nuclear warhead. Turn Shiro Tokita and his minions into a terrorist organization, and turn JA into a Metal Gear, and voila! It has "classic" written all over it!
It has a new Super Robot Wars game written all over it. Nuclear terrorists, you say? Hel-lo, Full Metal Panic! It makes so much sense it's almost sickening: the Lambda Driver is obviously a result of a project to create an AT-field through technological means. And here's where the real fun starts: it requires almost no leap of logic at all to deduce that AMALGAM (FMP), SYMBOL (Gasaraki) and LOGOS (SEED Destiny) are fundamentally the same friggin organization! It all fits in almost seamlessly!

Now, as those of you who have seen Gasaraki know, SYMBOL likes to tinker with ancient, super-powerful artifacts. This ties in not only with NGE but also with Nadesico (the Martian ruins) and Dual (the parallel universe stone tablets look a bit like Sadamoto's version of the SDSS). It could also tie in with Rah, but that might lead to recycling of MX's plot, so it might be wise to leave it out of this one. Anyway, Kazuki, being the twerp he is, ends up creating a massive cross-dimensional portal through which all sorts of unspeakable horrors, icluding giant insects and Mana Kirishima, pour into our world. That serves as a good chance to throw Gunparade March into the mix, so the underlying theme of buttplugs can be extended further.

But oh noes, while the robot forces are busy fighting against the newest invaders, some heavy-duty political conspiring is taking place in the background! The ambiguously scarred duo Nishida & Gouda are planning to overthrow the Japanese government: suddenly evil Americans are swarming all over Tokyo, and even the combined mech forces of sections 2 and 9 are no match for them! But who is this Laughing Man character who keeps breaking into Magi systems and stealing Seele's data? Why is there a giant sea monster with tits terrorising the Tokyo bay, and what's its connection with Project E? And where do the refugees keep getting those Savages and Zakus from, anyway?

Meanwhile, up in space, a young Coordinator girl named Kadase Shima is about to face her greatest challenge... Ah, HIRE ME NOW, BANPRESTO!

If by some strange twist of fate I ended up sculpting a lot more, and the demand for reproductions became high enough, I would probably be rather psychotic about it. No mass production, I mean. Very limited quantities. There is way too much "stuff" in this world, and most of it ends up in the landfill sooner or later.

There's nothing I love more than a nice figurine, especially when they're rife with nice little details (loved the core!).

Purposely, eh? I was going to say... Yui is a bit of a light-weight. (Compared to how I draw Kyoko-sama, anyway. The cerulocytes make all of her muscles at least 0.5 times the norm.) And, yeah, the head should be the same height top of cranium to chin as the distance from bottom of chin to bottom of sternum.

I've played around with clay trying to get a Thinker Yui who looks right, but it seems damn near impossible to replicate the original's pose. Get a few different angles of the guy: The right elbow is actually resting on the LEFT thigh, and I just can't get it to work! GYARGH. I guess I'll need to play around some more...

Are there any in particular you want to draw? If you're going to do them in "Rachel Style", I might feel obligated to supply you the latest concept of whomever.

BTW, you know how the Angels (Adanoko) are all SUPPOSED to be Eva-like entities, right? Ever tried making up "native forms" for them? Lets one experiment with a fuller range of physical variety than permitted by the Evas, who were all derived from a single individual.

I dunno. Maybe I'll post a crop of the more recent doodles sometime.

Basically, if Sachiel and his siblings never Quickened, er, that is, "rejected human form", what would they have ended up looking like? Take it as a given that they'd be humanoids of the same species as Adam and the Evas (they're genetically compatible as it is) and that each one is genetically distinct. (Adam was "preloaded" before departing the Homeworld.)

This is fun because you're no longer restricted to individuals who are all genetically derived from a single individual -- i.e., Adam. Gives some scope for experimentation with different physiques, pigmentation, and skin patterns, although you'd have to rule out any Eva traits caused by genetic tampering (EVA-02 in general, anything but two eyes, migrated nostrils). Plus, there are finally males in the mix. I envision them being much more, ahem, "modest" (more internalized) than hominids, and with scant other physical traits differentiating them from the chickas. I'll probably post my rough Sachi and Zer concepts in a bit so you can see what I mean...

There's a patter on the water, but it's only Pen^2, and he's gone as soon as he appears.

Possessed by some kind of kinky rage, Kozo straddles Gendo and attempts to wrench his head off. Gendo doesn't struggle. He can use all the retribution he can get, after all. But, then, suddenly, he lifts his hand up, and...

It's everyone's favorite speculative character, the One and Only Akira Katsuragi (http://www.evacommentary.org/images_reichu/akira_pendant.jpg)! I couldn't draw a parka, so... There you go. Isn't he just the most adorable thing you've ever seen? "It'd hit it."

EDIT: Wow. This one is OODLES better than my first try. He is finally becoming the hawt professor he was meant to be. Lazily colored version (see current avatar for preview) may be upcoming.

Well, while we're at it, why not do Akira's favorite science project, the One and Only Adam (http://www.evacommentary.org/images_reichu/hikari-no-kyojin.jpg), moments before blowing Antarctica (and presumably herself, as well) sky-high. The pylons are missing on purpose -- she would've popped them off by now -- but I was too lazy to draw the attachment site and whatever other artificial fixtures there are supposed to be. Naked Adam is good enough. Take care to note how I've actually given anatomical plausibility (comparatively) to everything besides her limbs; honestly, the Adam in the show should have looked like this! :P Needs a little more work (muscle references and a non-ovular core would be good), but right now I don't care.

Here, let me give you another reason to love me... The closest thing to "harpy" I've done at all recently (aside from horrifying doodles of how this character came to be)... A face only a mother (and Treize X, probably) could love... The Harpy's Son, "Alchab". (http://www.evacommentary.org/images_reichu/alchab_prelim.jpg) He's a guy in BES (duh), and all you really need to know about him is:

(Kyoko + Sachiel) + EVA-11 = Alchab

Still not sure on the body design. I was mostly messing around with that ... face of his. Now, if you asked me, I would tell you that this guy (http://www.evacommentary.org/images_reichu/azzael_w00t.gif) is better-looking. People tend not to react to poor Azzael very well, though. He's such a nice guy, too.

I did attempt to draw a younger Keel, but reverse-engineering even his Y2K self into something non-crochety... It's a lot harder than I thought, and my first try scares me, so it's going to stay over here where no one can see it...

Anything specifically you want to see? I was going to post the Sachi/Zer Native Image ones, but they kinda suck. I'll try doing better ones, sometime. In color.

Proportions are still kinda funky... There are some good "tricks" out there that help make this easier, so that the head is the right size compared to the torso, the torso is the right size compared to the legs, blah blah blah. Evas fit the default human model, I find, save for one change: add a little extra height to the abdomen. We always need a little something to make them "human, but not QUITE human". If you want me to give you an idea of what I mean using your own works, just give me the word.

And remember, Reichu just says this because it helped her once upon a time. Although I still hate legs, hands, and feet. At least the latter two I can use my own for as models (I have nice, long fingers, like Eva!). Legs, I'll need to just study harder. Blargh.

Neko Yon-What's a cat girl to wear? For me, just a bell collar and body ribbon(I mean, fuku's taken and you like TEH NUDE anyway, so it doesn't make much difference.).

The face closeup is quite good. Shape is quite accurate. (Well, by Reichu standards, anyway. Kekeke.) I'm guessing you eliminated the ear holes on purpose? ;) But, can Eva tongues do that?

I make Yongouki the "dark twin" of San, so if I did a nekomusume of her, she'd be a black cat. (Or very nearly.) I might be able to use some of your ideas...

The harpies really aren't very cetacean aside from the overall shape of the head. Teeth, lips, jaw structure are all much different. Alchab's skull isn't going to be quite the same, anyway, due to the genetic contamination from more "normal" El'adam*. (Well... relatively speaking. Sachi is fairly ordinary. His girlfriend and son aren't.)

In any case, I can see why you might say "saurian", although technically it wouldn't apply. The members of the big, happy archosaur family (crocs, dinos -– including birds --, pterosaurs, etc.) tend to have uniform dentition (whenever they don't have any) and lack mammal-type facial muscles. </paleo geek mode> Alchab has both.

T'anks. He's a brooding character (albeit not the stereotypical kind – I exist to flip stereotypes off), so having an expressive face serves him well. I'll have to post some more of him (tho there are probably some on my fossilized website). The rest of his body is in stark contrast to what you see in that portrait.
