Cutscene #211: Trouser Snake

Asuka is still in a comatose state after she and several other pilots were brutally mind-probed by brain-monster forces three stages ago. Shinji, on the other other hand, has been royally freaking out ever since it was revealed that Kaworu and Heine are in fact immortal cross-dimensional bishies, and as you might expect, he ends up stumbling into hospital room 303...

Shinji: "Asuka, you gotta help me! Both Ayanami and Kaworu-kun scare me, and those sentient spider-bots bully me. I don't know what to do. Even Shinn calls me emo. Nobody listens to me. Nobody understands me. Help me, Asuka. Hey, wake up, Asuka. Asuka..."

GOS2 was just pure dating and corniness; there was no plot to speak of. (See omake section at FGC.) GOS has the mecha in it, and it SHOULD have had Tokita, because he is funny and an endless source of amusement. But, you know, I forget... Was there any sort of common origin between JA and the Land Cruisers? Cuz I'm having a total brain fart and I really don't feel like suffering through GOS right now.

Though I'll have to watch episode #07 later just to have a few laughs.

And who is Gendo fighting?

He and Kozo practice their kung fu on one another every morning. How do you think they both maintain their ravishing good looks? What they didn't bother to show us in #21 was the Matrix-esque fight Fuyutsuki put up before he was kidnapped -- he trashed thirty of Seele's henchmen before finally being subdued. Awww.

Megumi, Rei, Shinji, Asuka, Hikari, and Toji all have their base colors finished. Shading, etc not coming till everyone's bases are done. Definitely different than my usual coloring, as the lineart's not compatable with my usual techniques. :P

Awesome, you should DL and color some of those comics, a few of them are colored but some of them like Rei-on-a-leash are begging for coloration. (Not to mention a certain chibi). What program do you use to color them? I have several photo-shop type programs and some graphics software that I'm woefully ignorant in useing. (Damn you free addition MAYA software!)

Gawd I'm now working on an colorized avater of Nigel that's going to say something along the lines of "Me, Gay?...Never!" or some such sarcasm relating to Nigel's rather....well slightly flaming disposition and looks. He's also got red hair....which is what I used for my Seele 04 character based off of Nigel in Guild Wars. (If you want to know he's a Mesmer/Warrior, those Mesmer dudes look fruity enough as it is).

I'm not even sure if Photoshop is all that great for coloring stuff. I have no concept of what's actually out there. -_-; Like I said, for me, it's familiar, so it saves me the trouble of having to learn something new to do something as unimportant as coloring in line drawings for, like, avatars and stuff.

But tutorials, you ask? Doesn't Photoshop come with those? I recall learning most of what I know just by "f*cking around", but that's not very efficient time-wise. ;) I have to take off soon*, but if there's still a need later, I'll take a look around for "something good". I ought to repost some of the horrifying results of that coloration method, too. (Shinji with wrench, two-faced Sachiel-Gendo, etc.)

I got the first six Collector's Discs recently*, and these are chock-full of beautious, high-res images. You see some of them scattered over the Internets, oftentimes in crappy-tized form. If you plot that sort of thing out, it usually takes no more than about ten minutes for the entire construction. As for the ENTIRE time, building, getting the right Legos in the right colors, etc, I would say...(based on if the constructor had a few kits of random pieces) about an hour, max. It's not that time-consuming.

Ritsuko says that Eva-00 just tried to kill Rei. Gendo is very surprised to hear it. and he finds out that things are more serious than he thought. then Ritsuko asks why are they trying to get rid of "their stupid machine" ? gendo says because it's not talking to us anymore

(doesn't make sense, my friend who tranlated it for me thinks it was the end of a longer story)

Second part is called "The Witty plans of Keel"

Gendo is acting against Keel's plans. Seele is surprised that they have plans all together. they are pissing him off by not listening what he has to say . acting like, why do we always meet in the dark and why don;t we ever bring snacks, and one of them says he has pistachios, and the other says that his granddaughter just learned to speak so Keel is complietely pissed off and says oh, sh*t, i am too old for this! then Keel finaly says that they have to destroy NERV



It sounded pretty silly so I didn't bother pushing her for a more detailed translation.

Totally official. They're multimedia hybrid CDs. Aside from the sw33t pict4rz, they're got screensavers, mini-games, and other stuff on them, but I haven't figured out how to get them to actually run so I can access that stuff. (I've just gone directly into the directory for images and done the copy + paste thing.) Looking at Gainax.net, it turns out there is a Vol. 7 I'm missing -- "mu-tha fu--!!!" -- and they're not available through the "Eva Store", either.

And... oh yeah.

I don't get it. What's with all the dancing?

It's a parody of one of the OP sequences for "Kodomo no Omocha", wherein the cast were doing this funky dance. The fact that real human beings (including dudes dressed up as Gendo and a lizard) can do this dance is a very impressive feat.

I have both "Kodomo no Evangelion" movies in hi-qual, if they ever need to be posted again.
