Most places don't provide romaji for the translation because it is not a good representation of the Japanese language. Hiragana and Katakana are not hard to learn and I'd suggest spending a few days to learn how to read those.

Hiragana and katakana don't have as many characters as kanji. I don't know the exact number but there can't be anymore than 150 for each alphabet. That's counting the stuff like 'pya' and 'ryo'.

Hiragana is used for words native to the Japanese language. Katakana is used for foreign words.

I had the same issue heres what i did:

You could translate english to japanese here:
http://dictionary.reference.com/translate/index.html

Then Take that and translate japanese to romaji here:
http://www.animelab.com/anime.manga/translate

The second site is not 100% accurate but it looks pretty accurate to me

I thought i might as well post because this could be very hard to find and even though this thread is 4 years old i thought oh well XD

This will convert any kanji string to romaji. Please do bear in mind though that it is not completely accurate. In some cases there is more than one possible reading for a compound, and this tool can only pick the most common.

Oh wait, this thread is ancient. Ooooops.
