Video Games Forum Rules
Originally by Serio, Gatomon, and GimpyBoy

Do not post repeat threads. Repeat threads will be closed/deleted. (Spend time checking and using the search for your information please!)

Console bashing and personal attacks will not be tolerated. Threads or posts containing personal attacks will be closed/deleted.

Please use the Report this post to Moderator option for personal attacks or console bashing.

Flooding the forum will not be tolerated.

Do not post links to Illegal sites or to explicit sites.

NO WHINING. Gaming is a diverse buisness, and not everything is going to be done your way.

All Final Fantasy threads MUST be posted in the Final Fantasy forum, respectively. Anyone who starts another one in the Video game board after today, will have their thread DELETED.

When discussing RPGs and you wish to explain certain points that reveals any story of the game, PLEASE use the spoiler tag. After all, it's a lot more fun, not knowing what happens, who dies, who joins you...etc etc. This makes things easier for us to read, without getting any (aside from our own) idea of what might happen.
This should be obvious, but apparently not to all. When somebody requests something that is directed towards a certain platform, answer IT instead of trying to skew the question up. That means, when somebody asks for an RPG for GC, suggest GC RPGs. Don't post idiotic crap like "Get a PS2, they have better RPGs" The thread started OBVIOUSLY wanted GC RPGs, hence the topic.
Don't ask for CD Keys, Keygens, or anything of the sort on this board. That's no different from piracy. Even if you did lose your CD covers/books, and are telling the truth, we don't know for sure, so just don't ask.

When you are reporting a post to the moderators please:

Make sure the thread you find upsetting or full of spam isn't already closed.

Be sure that you didn't start the flaming, and then another user intellectually responded to your statements, and you aren't reporting them simply because you don't like their opinion.

Note that if an S-Mod has responded to the post that you think is spam, then it's probably not, or it's something that doesn't need to be worried about.

Just a note about moderators and moderation that happens on this forum (and other ones).

This is common sense, but moderators are NOT here to clean up after every one of your issues. We're NOT here to take responsibility for everybody's whims. We're not here to keep a watchful eye on everything. We're not here 24/7, to baby you. As forum going posters, you are ALSO responsibile for what happens here, and what gets out of hand. Don't place the blame on just mods, when things don't go your way. That's not what we're here for. We do our best to keep things in order, clean and as balanced as possible. There are, and always will be times when we miss something. That can't be helped - we're human. We have our own thing to do, outside of the board. However, we still try our best to clean up, just in case things go beyond your own control. Again, that doesn't give you all excuses to let yourself go and do whatever you wish. Things such as flamming, spamming, negative remarks, etc etc should be considered before you press the post button. We can't monitor every little thing that happens, so do NOT let the presence of a moderator make you think you can get away with everything.
