I'm now playing Final Fantasy XI online,

In only one week span of playing, I checked my playtime.
It said that I had 69 hours, 35 mins, 25 secs.

That' practically 70 hours of FFXI in one week. Which averages out to 10 hours a day.

But taht's only cause it was Thanksgiving week, and I had most of those days off, excpet weekeds, I still had to work. It'll probaaly be closer to 30 hours per week now that everythign is back in motion.

I can't believe Resident Evil actually became the "best" survival horror game on the Playstation, this game makes the surprise element up on plain freakyness. Plus, an innovative weapon system mixed with Parasite powers (read: magic) makes it a blast to play, despite the clunky controls during battle.

Right now I'm engrossing myself in the best WWII shooter ever created: Call Of Duty. I have to admit, I was pretty much denouncing the self-created genre for it's lack of substance throughout it's reincarnations, but this is different. This game has more depth than Frontline or Rising Sun, the Medal Of Honor series has been officially bested by this game.

The sound is superb, I actually feel the intensity of being on the battlefield, with my commanding officers screaming at me, while German marksmen are flanking my position, pinning me down while mortar fire rings behind me. No other game has ever sounded this accurate, and the voice acting is amazing for the game also.

The missions are original and, most of all, fun. There's no unrealistic crap going on in this game, your fellow squad members will fall in battle while you are covering them, medics will be shot if they move too close, and tank shells will tear by your cheek as you rush past the tank. Nothing will ever match this experience, whether it's the feeling of being part of a team, charging forward in a desperate assault, or just watching a battle rage on as you watch through the careful eye of a sniper scope, nothing matches the expierience that is Call Of Duty.


Whew, that was a very crappy review, but what the hell, I love the game!

Are you doing Lyndis' storyline right now? If so, then as soon as you are done with her storyline, she'll eventually be back. But if it wasn't in Lyndi's storyline, then you are fudged and she's never coming back. That's the thing with the game, your character dies and she's gone forever. Her broken arm will last until chapter 10 if you are doing Lyndis' story. Lamezor, I know.

Anyways... the only game I am playing AT ALL lately, besides F-Zero GX, is Rootbeer Tapper. Maybe some Smash TV here and there, but mostly RBT. Bad to the ***.

Yeah, game is crazy hard, especially towards the end. It gets annoying when you have a fully tricked out Skyline, and are having trouble keeping up with the computer in it's Neon.

To unlock NOS, just keep playing. Don't have to do anything special, just pass a certain mission.

I just finished Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and WOW is the only word I can think of.

It was one of the most purly enjoyable games I have ever played. Wouldn't it be funny if I started saying Mario was my favorite RPG series of all time? I mean seriously. Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, and now Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga are all fantastic games that are just so much fun to play.

But anyway on to Mario and Luigi.

Simply put Cackletta and Fawful are 2 of the best villians in RPG history. Thier dialouge (especially Fawful's) is laugh out loud funny and you will find yourself impatiently waiting for thier next appearance just to hear what they are going to say.

The battle system (like true Mario series RPG) is all about timed button presses. You have to time your attack for extra damage (or in the case of the bros. attacks you need to have the correct timing for the attack to even work). Then you can even time jumps and hammer attacks on defense to defend yourself from an enemy attack (and this is vital especially against the final boss that does major damage and attacks like 12 times in a row. This makes it one of the most enjoyable battle systems ever.

Another great thing is that (like Super Mario RPG) the overworld map and dungeons have platforming elements. You have to jump from ledge to ledge and Mario and Luigi even have to team up to do high jumps and spin jumps. This makes just travelling on the overworld or exploring a dungeon a blast.

Well I have talked enough. If you are a fan of RPGs and you haven't played this then you are missing out on one of the most enjoyable RPG experiences ever.

Well this thread was about what we are playing now. I will now move onto playing Sword of Mana

I know Sword of Mana has a lot to live up to (sort of like any quarterback in Denver will be compared to John Elway) but I am confident I will enjoy it quite a bit.

We've got the PS2 version. I know I've heard ppl complain about it and say it wasn't as good as the X-box or GCN version, but I've got absolutely NO complaints at all. ^_^

I'd agree to play PoP first, tho I've never played Defiance. I'm planning on finishing Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver II (and possibly LoK 2) before trying out Defiance. So, I'm guessing that's a long way away, eh? ;)

One cool thing I had heard about Defiance was that you can get a cardboard tube for Kain a la Penny-Arcade!

I picked up Bombastic recently, and am enjoying it immensely. Anyone who likes puzzle games should give it a look. The Japanese-flavored Story Mode is totally hilarious and weird.

Bombastic caused me to go back to Devil Dice and Intelligent Qube on the PSone, too. Those games never get old.

I recently returned a rental of Kya: Dark Lineage (pretty good, I wouldn't buy it though).

Also just started Klonoa: Door to Phantomile again. I finally found a mint copy of Klonoa 2, so I want to play them back-to-back.

Just about finished with a second replay of Deus Ex: Invisible War. This time I'm aiming to kill everyone....everyone, even the cats and rats, and destroying every camera and bot. I'm trying to make the entire game a futuristic ghost town for my invisible cyborg vampire. I'm also making makeshift homes in empty trash bins and stocking them with supplies, weapons, and corpses for my health leech biomod. Silly, but fun.

Don't know about the PS2 version but here is how on the Gamecube(someone told me it works on all versions):

Around 30%-34(6 maybe?), when you get your new sword(one that breaks walls) keep going till you reach the little room with the rotating switch that locks the door behind you and opens another door on the left, now keep turning it and both doors will lock, go directly across the door you entered and hit the wall (it looks like a real wall but it will break after 2-4 hits), walk up the steps and you just unlocked PoP1.
