I lost exact count on the amount of manga volumes (not single issues) I own a long time ago, and they're scattered on shelves all over my house, so they're not easy to count, but I estimate I have 150-200 volumes of manga in French, 100-150 in English, and maybe 30 in Japanese and other languages. There's slightly more in French than in English, since the French volumes are about half the price as what Viz and Dark Horse manga volumes used to cost, and, also, there's a lot in French than isn't available in English, like the early volumes of You're Under Arrest, Kimagure Orange Road and the more obscure CLAMP stuff.

Yes, I have reached the point where I find volumes of things I don't remember buying.

About a year later, I wouldn't be at all surprised if I've passed the 400 volume mark, but I've been collecting for a full decade now. I think I bought my first compiled volume of Urusei Yatsura around April or May 1994.

Probably. But I'm also very thankful there's English ones. Since some series (like Saiyuki Reload and Trigun) are having problems with licensing, so they either changed publisher or cannot get the license to be released in Taiwan... And some other series are either too old (so now out of print) or just never been licensed in Chinese... And that's when I'm really happy to see there's English releases. :P

Too much for me. The only number I have handy at recent is 381 volumes of Tokyopop manga. Viz is pretty close to that, and then there's still a few DH, C1, ADV, MB, CPM...

Oh, and that's not including the bookshelf full of Japanese volumes...

You could learn Japanese. I mean I admit that even I don't fully understand the manga yet cause my japanese isn't that good but I usually get an idea of whats going on. Only problem is Kanji. I just moved so half of my collection is in my old house. And more of my newer volumes are here with me. So I have to be careful when I want to buy a volume of a series and I don't remember what number was the last volume that I bought. Like GTO I think the last I bought was 14 but I can't be too sure so I just put off buying that series until I can be sure. (I hope that just made sense.)

In my book they do beacuse some of the single mangas that were released used to be a # of volumes, but they decided to roll it all together. :P
