Blue Gender Premier Date Announced

FUNimation has officially announced the release date for Blue Gender to VHS and DVD as October 16th. “FUNimation is staying true to the original Japanese series including using the original Japanese music. Fans will especially appreciate the DVDs, which will contain many extras such as the Japanese version with English subtitles, interviews, extended music videos, and image gallery.”

Set in 2031 on the planet Earth, Blue Gender takes viewers to a world where human beings are the prey for giant insects – creatures called “Blue.” The series has found such acclaim in its native Japan that a major Japanese theatrical release is now in production.
