Tokyopop Licenses Skull Man Manga

Tokyopop has announced their intention to publish an English language version of the new Skull Man manga series created by the late Shotaro Ishinomori (creator of Kamen Rider and Cyborg 009) and authored by Kazuhiko Shimamoto. The series is dark revenge story about a man whose body and soul were taken from him. “Willing to sacrifice the lives of the innocent in his dark quest for retribution, he is an anti-hero with a dark, but magnetic presence. Orphaned as a young boy, the Skull Man lives in a shadowy world of homicidal mutants and seductive assassins in the vein of American superhero-noir like Batman or Spawn.”

The series will premier in standard comic book form in November, but early next year will change to trade paperback collection format only.
