Director Hayao Miyazaki’s supposed final feature film The Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu) is among the five finalists that will compete for the 2013 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The movie will compete against France’s Ernest and Celestine, and Hollywood’s The Croods, Frozen, and Despicable Me 2 for the Oscar. Miyazaki’s 2001 film Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (“Spirited Away”) won the 2002 Oscar for Best Animated Film. The Oscar winners will be announced on March 2.

Nuts to that! It probably should of been dumped into the Foreign list before getting near animation- I have not seen it but dollars to doughnuts pretty much all of that movie could’ve been done live. Magic of CG eh?
-No; for Best animation I say that ‘The Croods’ should be acknowledge as the best out of last year for many, Many categories: Cinematography, Sound mix & effects, Acting, Directing.. & no doubt far, Far more I know happened within but can’t quite put down describe here now.
-Sadly; the one Big problem w/ this selection was: Profitability. The Big Arse NO~NO for all them hollyweird-aits!
