Chihayafuru Second Season Announced

To the great relief of fans, the advertising obi on new copies of the 17th collected volume of Yuki Suetsugu’s Chihayafuru manga reveals that a second season of the 2011 anime adaptation is now in development. The award-winning manga follows a high-school girl’s efforts to become the world’s best female Karuta (a Japanese card/memory game) player. The first anime series ended abruptly without any resolution or climax.
