Miniskirt Pirates to Invade America

Crunchyroll has announced plans to simulcast next month’s Moretsu Pirates sci-fi anime series. Furthermore, Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for online and home video release. Sentai will begin its own streaming distribution of the show in February, followed by a DVD & Blu-ray release.

    Is this a sub-subgenre? Smashing moe/little girls into pre-existing subgenres like space operas?
