Opening A Day

To refresh your memory or introduce you to an interesting opening animation sequence, I submit the opening of the 1983 Aishite Night TV series. The opening theme is “Koi wa Totsuzen,” performed by Mitsuko Horie.

    I forgot that this is the other series from the creator of Itazura Na Kiss. Would be curious to check out the manga if Kiss does well enough.

    Actually, now that I think about it, I got another Q for you. Considering there *was* a market for cartoons with female leads in America in the 80s(I.E. Gem, She-Ra, Strawberry Shortcake, etc.), why do you think it took a decade for shojo to come over here?
