New Kissdum R Trailer

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

The homepage for the Engage Planet Kissdum R anime series has added a streaming trailer promoting the series’ upcoming third television series broadcast and expanded Blu-ray boxed set release. The promising but rather bad sci-fi action show originally aired on Japanese television under the title “Kissdum -Engage Planet-” in 2007. The series was then slightly revised and rebroadcast the following year under the title “Kissdum R -Engage Planet-.” The show will air on Japanese television again starting on April 9, and a special edition Blu-ray boxed set is in development for Japanese release.

Madoka Magica Delayed

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

The homepage for the current Puella Magi Madoka Magica television series has announced that the official release of the series’ remaining episodes has been delayed “for now.” The release of the series’ first five home video volumes have been delayed by one month each. And the release of the series’ third manga volume has been delayed indefinitely. No specific reason for the delays is provided. Broadcast and distribution delays due to this month’s earthquake and tsunami are the most probable cause. Animation studio Shaft requiring more time to complete work on the series’ final episodes is a second possible explanation. The need to rework the controversial content of the remaining episodes is an unlikely, albeit not impossible, explanation for the delay.

Opening A Day

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

To refresh your memory or introduce you to an interesting opening animation sequence, I submit the neat opening of the 2007 Over Drive television series. The opening theme is “WINDER ~Boku wa Koko ni Iru~,” performed by Shonen Kamikaze.

It’s just unfortunate that the opening is a lot more energetic and interesting than the show itself is.

This is a relief to hear because I really like the Haiyoru! Nyaruani TV series, but episode 11 was an absolutely awful ending.

John what are your views a Chibi type anime known as ‘Bincho tan’ that can be pick up by a U.S licensor personally I have mixed feelings about the series because despite the levels of cuteness about the main character the show is clled a slice of life series and there are some scenes that can make you cry or feel sad literally! will this series about an orphan girl sell well overseas?
