Funimation License Rescues Disgaea

Funimation has announced its acquisition of distribution rights to the 2006 Disgaea anime television series formerly distributed domestically by Geneon. The 12 episode series will be re-released on domestic DVD early next year.

The Disgaea anime is an adaptation of Nippon Ichi Software’s 2003 SRPG game Makai Senki Disgaea.

    This wasn’t a terrible series, but not nearly as entertaining as the games.
