Yozakura Quartet OAD Trailer Released

The homepage for the upcoming Yozakura Quartet: Hoshi no Umi OAD has released a streaming trailer. The anime will be released on October 8 with limited edition copies of the 9th collected volume of Suzuhito Yasuda’s manga.

I’m not feeling this. I prefer the TV series character designs. And this trailer feels like it’s too indebted to K-On.

    Good to know Miss Yae will get some action, at least.

    By the way, more and more OAD titles hitting the market nowadays. I haven’t followed them all that much. Are they largely extensions of existing properties (if so, to what extent)? Or typically endeavors produced independent of a preexisting property or studio.

    By definition, OADs are anime bundled with books – usually manga – so naturally all OADs are adaptations of the manga they’re packaged with.
