Live Action Battle Angel Bumped Again

As recently as last month numerous news sources including Yahoo! Movies reported that Battle Angel would be director James Cameron’s follow up to Avatar and hit theaters in 2011. Now Avatar producer Jon Landau says that Cameron plans to film his live action Battle Angel movie after helming Avatar 2.

    Why do I think he knows he’s in over his head with this one, and only brings it up because he thinks he can try to sell the concept to the general public without having to actually produce a quality adaptation?

    As much as I liked Avatar, I’d really rather see him try his hand at Battle Angel than an Avatar sequel, which — if you ask me — really doesn’t NEED sequels.
