Drifting Life Movie Announced

Singapore based film production companies Infinite Frameworks and Zhao Wei Films reportedly have plans to fund a black & white Japanese language live action film adaptation of Yoshihiro Tatsumi’s acclaimed 2008 autobiographical manga A Drifting Life (Gekiga Hyouryuu). Published in Japan as two 400+ page volumes, the manga is available in English from Drawn and Quarterly as a single 840 page book.

    That’s one incredible book… A film adaptation sounds kind of funky, but I suppose this might fall into my category of “well, if it’s done right…”
