First KoF Movie Trailer
The Cannes Film Festival promotional trailer for director Gordon Chan’s live action King of Fighters movie, based on the popular and long running SNK fighting game franchise, has appeared on YouTube.
I really don’t like pre-judging, but I can’t help saying that this looks spectacularly awful.

Ray Park, I weep for you. This looks like a cheap waste of talent all around. It’s not even horrible with a decent budget. It looks horrible and it has a horrible budget. My eyes couldn’t even enjoy this.

Now we’ll actually see Ray Park in an action role without his make-up and costume making him unrecognizable (Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace; Toad in X-Men; Snake Eyes in The Rise of Cobra). I also think I recognize the actor who played Lui Kang in Mortal Kombat.
At least Mortal Kombat was actually based on the storyline from the game. I’d hate to see what they would do with Soul Calibur (which I think has the best plot amongst fighting games).

Actually, Ray Park is also on the current season of Heroes.

Double Dragon Reloaded? And did they learn nothing from the semi-Tekken movie, Avenging Fist? Oh, well, unlike DB:E, at least the fights look like fights…
