@Girochin1

LOL, see beyond your nose and learn to read and understand what you read better with all dues respect, I am saying things like this is what leads to many fans not purchasing the actual physical stuff!!!

There are many fans that probably only watch anime with subs and that were interested in Kurokami, what do you think that people will do? Simply give up on the series? Girochin1, I am not arguing WTH there is no jap dub, and I am saying this kind if things lead some or many fans to take other routes if yoy know what I mean. Do i need to explain things with apples to you?

@seanny: Exactly.

Things like this are why anime fans outside of Japan are forced, by sheer necessity, to become savvier about internet piracy than the average consumer. Sure there's an official release, but it's undesirable next to a blu-ray rip someone will inevitably make that has all the trimmings put back into it.

@chise Are you on crack or some other illegal substance? What does any of this have to do with fansubs?

They simply don't want the Japanese to import our $29 blu-rays back there to get around paying the $102 price of the Jp release. Simple solution is to remove the Japanese audio track which is what they did. With more businesses selling internationally you will likely see this more and more unless they find some better way to region code the DVDs and BRs.

And some people keep blaming fansubbers and us fans for preferring fansubs in many instances which generally are very high quality!!

Some people even say there are streams now available so go watch that, its obvious those that dont know at leasta bit of japanese dont notice but for some of us that do know some japanese the subs are very low quality, many grammatical errors and inaccurate translations. Kemono no shouja erin subs for example are very bad.

Anyway point is things like what Bandai Entertaiment will do with Kurokami is what is really killing their profits or like companies like to exaggerate "killing the industry" (not fansubs as many claim or believe), sure giving low quality streams and low quality dvd and blu-ray releases: bad translation, inaccurate subs, bad dubs, dub only releases, etc, thats the quality I am referring to, saves them a lot of money and increase profits in the short run but in the long run they are only scaring away potential customers. The very disrespect way US anime companies treat anime and the real non-casual hardcore fans is what is causing the real damage and leading to less sales overall.

Nowadays many fans study Japanese inspired by anime, or many just become good at catching things to a good extent after years of watching series in japanese with subs, those fans can clearly tell the difference when comparing fansubs and domestic releases. Many used to love having their favorite series in physical form despite for example having watched a series by other means, but when you become more "aware" of the very inferior domestic releases what motivates you from collecting your favorite series?
