War of the Worlds: Goliath Trailer Released

It’s not anime, but any American R-rated 2D sci-fi action animated film deserves some notice from anime fans. The official site for War of the Worlds: Goliath, a feature length animated sequel to H.G. Wells’ classic novel, now hosts a streaming trailer and a 12 minute long behind-the-scenes video. The movie will hit DVD early next year.

It’s neat to see serious mecha action in an American 2D animated movie – especially one not based on a comic from the “big two.” But for a flick with a budget of over $5 million, well, see for yourself.

    Apparently it features most of the cast of the Highlander TV series.
