For what it’s worth. it’s actually that the first Blu-Ray volume contains 4 episodes starting at episode 0 (episodes 0 to 3). Episode 0 was already released on DVD earlier. From Volume 2 on, each volume will contain 3 episodes. There’ll be 4 volumes in total.

And yeah… this is basically the same as the first season, except that they’re releasing the Blu-Ray from the get-go (thankfully), and they’re putting 3 episodes per disc over 4 volumes (the way the Blu-Rays were released) instead of 2 per disc over 6 volumes (the way the DVDs were released). Actually, if you compare the prices, the Blu-Ray box for the first season cost 33,600 Yen, and the total of these 4 volumes will be 33,939 Yen.

Wow. No wonder pirating is so common. How can they really expect people to pay so much for so little?

These prices aren’t that uncommon in Japan. Just be thankful anime is so cheap over here. If it was $100 per disc, it just wouldn’t sell.
