Gag Manga Biyori Series Four Announced

The advertising obi on copies of this week’s new tenth volume of Kousuke Masuda’s comedy manga series Gag Manga Biyori announces that a fourth TV anime series is now in development. Masuda’s bizarre non-sequitur comedy manga premiered in 2000. It had 12 episode anime TV series adaptations in 2005, 2006, and 2008.

    I wonder if Akitaroh Daichi will work on anything beyond corny gag manga adaptations in the future. I mean this is the guy that brought us “Now and Then[...]” and Jubei-chan 2

    Remember that he also directed Bokura ga Ita just a few years ago, so he hasn’t completely abandoned “serious” anime.
