It's impossible to make a live action Akira. Even the Japanese wouldn't be able to do it well if they tried. Some art has to be left as is; Akira being a prime example. Animation is a medium where the imagination really is the only boundary(and budget). Film on the other hand is a whole another story. If you get what I'm saying?
