I've been openly wondering why Bandai is still even bothering putting out anime (esp. in the United States), since we all know they've been in significant trouble for 18 months or so now. Bandai would be smarter concentrating on R2 and dumping their R1 operations. I see the film and (non-Gundam) anime parts the first two to go.
