Why is Negima so popular? Is Akamatsu's restructuring of the typical harem property really that good, time and time again? I enjoyed Love Hina (manga) though it was a bit repetitive, and found the first version of the Negima TV anime a bit too big for its britches, despite the occasional moment of genuine drama.
