Yen Press Announcements from NY Comic Con
During this past weekend’s New York Comic Con, Yen Press announced its acquisition of three new manga titles:

Spice and Wolf, by Keito Koume (based on the novels by Isuna Hasekura & Ju Ayakura)
Yotsuba &! volume 6, by Kiyohiko Azuma
Crescent Moon Story, by Hyouta Fujiyama
The Yen Press publication of Yotsuba to! volume 6 will match the design and format of the previous five volumes translated and distributed by AD Vision.
Yen Press will begin releasing the previously announced Spice & Wolf novels prior to the manga adaptation. The first novel will be available in December.

Seeing as how ADV Manga is notoriously bad at handling good series (or outright canceling them with no notice), and it has remained mum about Yotsuba&! #6 for quite some time, this is good news! I was on the verge of thinking we’d never see another Yotsuba book published in English…

To give ADV their dues, they announced that they were putting their manga division on hold to re-focus on Anime (translation, anime is our core business, and the economy+sales=no extra cash for sidelines (manga)). I’m just happy that they released/sold the lisence to Yen so we could start buying these again.
