FUNimation Acquires Mushishi Movie
During this past weekend’s New York Anime Festival, FUNimation revealed its acquisition of distribution rights to director Katsuhiro Otomo’s live action feature film adaptation of Yuki Urushibara’s Mushishi supernatural drama manga. FUNimation plans limited theatrical screenings followed by a DVD release next year.

Hmm, I’m not too sure about this. I don’t believe they’ll be able to accurately portray the atmosphere as found in the anime show, but perhaps I’m a little biased because I have a personal dislike for Japanese live-action films.
I doubt I’ll watch it, but I’d rather have a movie in anime form.
