I thank it's funny how Cartoon network saids it's due to low ratings, but you can't tell me that thier own programming does any better on Saturday nights during Football seaseon. I thank it's just a plow to get there own shows more air time during prime hours. Case and point, they remove Blue Dragon and One Piece for Ben 10 and Samurai Jack, not bad series, but not from an outside distributor, thier own products.

Well, to their credit, no one was staying up for it. When you choose to start your anime block at 1 AM, you can't be that surprised that we're going to opt to DVR it. They've acknowledged that we TiVo/DVR their programming so they moved the shows to the wee hours.

Personally, I've just given up on them for anime. The whole reason I watched cartoon network for anime to start with was because it came on weekday afternoons and ran from like 10-12 on Saturdays. When they pushed it all back horribly far I became less inclined to care. Besides, they've been picking on their anime viewer base for years, so it isn't like we'd have any loyalty to them and continue to put up with their crap in an era where anime is available on other channels during better hours.

Sadly, when the viewership drops off sharply during anime broadcasts, it sends a clear message to programming: Drop the anime, keep the comedy.

Another slap in the face to fans, distributors, and anyone with some common knowledge of the history of Adult Swim rogramming; but not surprising.
