Korean Harlock Movie Announced Without Creator Consent
Space Pirate Captain Harlock creator Leiji Matsumoto has revealed to the Mainichi Newspaper that he was surprised to hear the recent announcement of plans for a Japanese/Korean co-produced live action Captain Harlock movie because he had never been contacted about the project, nor has he given his consent to the development of this film based on his work. Matsumoto is apparently not entirely opposed to the development of the film but is “worried” by the lack of communication between himself and the film’s producers.
