Junjo Romantica Anime in Production?

Japanese site Moon Phase reports that Kadokawa’s Asuka Ciel Magazine homepage briefly reported, then removed an announcement of a planned anime adaptation of Shungiku Nakamura’s yaoi manga series Junjo Romantica.

Manga Bible Announced

NEXT, Inc. and Tyndale House Publishers have scheduled the release of a Manga Bible and a five volume series of manga adaptations of Biblical stories.

The “Manga Bible” will be a complete New Living Translation text highlighted by 96 pages of manga. The Manga Bible will be released in November.

Manga Messiah,” written by Hidenori Kumai, and illustrated by Kozumi Shinozawa & Atsuko Ogawa, will be the first of a five volume series of Japanese created manga adapting Biblical stories. The book will be released in September.

ADV Films to Handle Distribution for Geneon

Beginning October 1st, ADV Films will handle all marketing and wholesale distribution of Geneon anime products. Geneon will continune to independantly handle acquisitions, localization, and production. Consumers are unlikely to notice any changes in the characteristics or availability of Geneon anime products.

As a result of this partnership, Geneon has reportedly laid off employees in its now unnecessary sales, marketing, and distribution departments.

Live Action City Hunter in Development

Japanese entertainment news site Innolife has reported that a production partnership between Japan’s Kadokawa and South Korea’s SIDUS FHN film production companies have offered Korean actor Jung Woo Sung the job of playing protagonist Ryo Saeba in a live action City Hunter television series, based on Hojo Tsukasa’s popular manga.

Hataraki Man Live Action Adaptation Announced

The new in Japan fourth My Otome Zwei OVA includes an announcement of a fourth My Hime anime series, titled “My Otome S.ifl”. The new story appears to be a prequel to the My Otome television series, starring Arika’s mother.
