Teenager Michael McKeithan attended this past weekend’s Animazement convention in Durham, North Carolina, then disappeared sometime after the convention concluded. McKeithan is described as a 5′11, 185 pound white male with brown hair, blue eyes, a light beard, and a trimmed mustache. His family and friends have not heard from him since he used his cell phone on the Interstate 40 highway near Greensboro, North Carolina, shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27. He drives a black 1997 Pontiac Sunfire with North Carolina license plate number VPT-3755.

Seven Seas president Jason Deangelis has informed ICv2 that the planned American publication of Kaworu Watashiya’s romantic comedy manga Kodomo no Jikan has been canceled. Despite the fact that the manga includes no nudity or sex, and it parodies the “Lolicon” theme of romance between an adult male and underage female, online outrage over the mere suggestion of under aged sexuality has apparently caused Seven Seas to cancel its planned English translation.
The manga series currently has three volumes in Japan, and an anime television series adaptation of the manga is scheduled to premier in July.

Japanese home entertainment distributor Starchild has formally announced that Coharu Sakuraba’s manga series Minami-ke will be adapted into an anime. Sakuraba may be better known to American fans as the creator of the “Today in Class 5-2″ manga series.

Shonen Jump Magazine has announced that Kyosuke Usuta’s comedy manga series Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar will be adapted into a live action movie and anime. Usuta may be better known to American fans as the creator of “Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoiyo! Masaru-san.”

At this past weekend’s FanimeCon convention, Bandai Entertainment announced plans to re-release the CLAMP School Detectives anime television series on domestic DVD. Bandai Entertainment released the series on American VHS in 1998 but has previously said that the series would not be released on American DVD.
