Seven Seas has announced its acquisition of translation rights to two new manga series:

Naruto Shippuuden Website Opened

New Naruto Anime Series Announced

An advertisement published in the latest issue of Japan’s Shonen Jump Magazine announces that a new Naruto television series, titled “Naruto Shippuuden” (Naruto ~ Hurricane Legend) will premier early next year. The new series will return to directly adapting Masashi Kishimoto’s original manga. The current Naruto television series has been broadcasting original stories for over a year.

Ayumayu Theater Episode 3 Available Now

Reideen Trailer Released

The WOWOW page for Reideen, Production IG’s remake of the 1975 mecha anime series Yuusha Raideen, now hosts a 30 second and a 120 second streaming Windows Media trailer. Reideen is scheduled to premier next March.

Moonlight Mile Anime Announced

Big Comic Superior Magazine has announced that Yasuo Otagaki’s science fiction manga Moonlight Mile will be adapted into anime. Moon Phase reports that the anime will be a television series broadcast on the WOWOW network.

Ga-nime Announces New Works

Ga-nime, in association with Toei Animation, has announced two new anime OAVs.

Eko Eko Azarak, based on the horror manga serial by Shinichi Koga, will be released on Japanese DVD on January 30, 2007.

Tori no Uta will be written, drawn, and directed by famed illustrator Yoshitaka Amano. The OAV will be released on Japanese DVD on January 30, 2007. Tori no Uta will be Amano’s second work for Ga-nime. His Fantascope ~tylostoma~ OAV was released on Japanese DVD on August 1, 2006.

Anime News Service also reports that Ga-nime will produce an OAV titled “A Day of a Girl @TYO” for Japanese release in March. The OAV will feature character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto.
