Question:
Why do the animated version of manga have so many edits? I’ve seen things that are so small that I see no reason to change them, such as swapping the two sisters at one point in Bleach, to changes so drastic that I was appalled, for example, the ending of the Gantz anime and the ending of Tenjou Tenge. I understand that some things can be very difficult to animate, but some of these things I just can’t understand the reason for these changes.

Question:
I’m a big fan of the One Piece anime, and I recently heard some rumors floating around that the anime may actually be concluded after the current (Enies Lobby) arc. As far as I know, the anime is still getting consistently high ratings in Japan and is very popular, so I really don’t see a reason why it would be ended. I am aware of a timeslot/TV station change for the show, but that’s about it. From what I understand, these rumors are ungrounded in fact. But they do have me a little worried. Has Toei made any mention of the One Piece anime ending after the current arc, or anything to that effect, or are these nothing more than rumors?
