Sony Home Entertainment has informed Twitch that the announcement of an October 31st American DVD release of Satoshi Kon’s upcoming film Paprika was a mistake. The film will be released theatrically and on DVD in America some time next year.

Anime on DVD has published an interview with Bandai Visual USA regarding its perspective on the American market and distribution strategies.

DrMaster has announced that its first English translated volume of Kaishaku’s “Key Princess Story: Eternal Alice Rondo” manga will be released on October 30th and retail at $9.99.

Animate.tv has announced that My Otome Zwei, the My Otome OVA series, will debut in Japan this fall. Promotional advertising posters and banners the release will appear in select locations beginning in August.

One of my goals is to become a popular manga author. However, I remember reading that it’s very difficult for an American to become a manga author in Japan, so I decided to think of alternative routes to how I could become one. I was thinking about becoming a video game designer here in America to gain popularity internationally. After many years, I might have my own company, and if I’m popular enough, I would try for a run in Japan as a manga author. Warner Bros. Japan now hosts a 1:29 trailer for Gekijyouban Naruto Daikoufun! Mikazuki Shima no Animal Panic Dattebayo (Theatrical Naruto - Great Excitement!
