New Gedo Senki Trailer Available

Fan site Ghibli World now hosts the latest trailer for Studio Ghibli’s upcoming anime film Gedo Senki, recorded from the NTV television program “Zoom In Super.” The Windows Media format video clip is available in small and medium resolutions.

Hellsing OVA 2 Trailer Available

Manga Entertainment Seeks Photos of Lupin Cosplay

America to Get Screwed

Panik House has announced plans to release an American DVD edition of Teruo Ishii’s 1998 film “Screwed,” a live action adaptation of Yoshiharu Tsuge’s underground manga “Neji-shiki” (Wind-Up Type). Screwed will hit American DVD on July 26th.

First Figure Game Announced

Kogado Studios has announced this its PC “short novel & music simulation” game Dear Pianissimo will be released this July. The game will come pre-loaded on a USB memory stick molded inside a 13cm figure of game character Piano, a small music fairy. The figure connects to a computer via USB cable, allowing the player to load the game onto a PC and play with the figure on display nearby.

Two Blood+ Games in the Works

Japanese game design studio Grasshopper has announced its development of a Playstation 2 action/adventure game titled “Blood+ One Night Kiss,” based on the current anime television series Blood+.

Likewise, Sony has announced development of its own 3D action game titled “Blood+ ~Souyoku no Battle Rinbukyoku~“, scheduled for Japanese release on July 27th.

Dororon Enma-kun Remake in the Works

Bandai Visual is scheduled to release the first Kikoushi-Enma horror OVA on August 25th. Game News Site EG reports on the completion of the dialogue recording for the anime, and explains that the new production is a re-imagining of Go Nagai’s 1973 lighthearted horror anime TV series Dororon Enma-kun.

New Katsuhiro Otomo Anime Online

The latest anime production from Katsuhiro Otomo, director of Akira and Steamboy, is a 30 second TV commercial for Nissin Cup Noodle featuring the song “This Is Love” from vocalist Hikaru Utada’ upcoming album Ultra Blue. The animated TV commercial is part of the Freedom Project, “A story of freedom fighters set in the 23rd century.”

Toonami & Viz Partner to Offer Anime Online

Toonami Jetstream, a partnership between Cartoon Network and Viz Media, will launch on July 17. The ad-supported site will offer free, full-length episodes of shows including Naruto, Samurai Jack, Hikaru No Go, MAR, and The Prince of Tennis. ICv2 News reports that Toonami Jetstream will also host the American premier of Zoids Genesis. The site will be refreshed with new episodes weekly, and will offer an archive of previously run episodes.

ICv2 has published an interview with Viz Media Executive Vice President John Easum regarding the Toonami Jetstream partnership.

Blu Schedules New Yaoi Manga

Blu has scheduled the release of two new English translated yaoi manga.

Gerard et Jacque volume 1 will retail at $9.99 beginning September 30.
Junjo Romantica volume 1 will retail at $9.99 beginning October 31.
