Okusama wa Jyoshikosei TV Series Announced

Japanese publisher Shueisha has announced that adult manga artist Hiyoko Kobayashi’s “Okusama wa Jyoshikosei” (”Wife is a High School Girl”) manga will premier as an anime television series this July.

Full Metal Panic Second Raid Premier Scheduled

Japanese satellite television network WOWOW has announced that the first episode of Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid will premier at midnight on July 13th. The series will carry an “R-15″ (recommended for viewers 15 and older) rating. For reference, anime series including Elfen Lied, Girls Bravo Second Season, and Monkey Punch Manga Katsudou Dai Shashin: Mankatsu were also categorized as R-15 anime.

A promotional special for the new series will air at midnight a week earlier on July 6th.

AD Vision Schedules Samurai Gun

Geneon has announced that the first DVD volume of the 2004 Tetsujin 28 anime TV series will be released on September 27th. The DVD will retail at $29.98 or $34.98 with series box.

Live Action Saikano Cast Revealed

Anime News Network reveals that Aki Maeda (Battle Royale) and Shunsuke Kubozuka will play Chise and Shuuji in the live action film adaptation of Saishuu Heiki Kanojo (”SaiKano”). The movie will be directed by Taikan Suga (Blister!) and is tentatively scheduled for Japanese release next February.

Nintendo Reveals New Systems

Nintendo has revealed photos of its two new video game systems, the “Nintendo Revolution” is Nintendo’s next home console system. The Game Boy Micro is the next evolution of the Gameboy hand held game system.

Question:
Why do evil characters in hentai always win? I don’t watch a lot of hentai, but when I do, it seems like there is always this very sinister evil character that does these crazy acts to women and most of the time gets away with it, Black Bible being one, along with some of the stories in Cool Devices. I’m sure there are a few where the good guys win, but it seems more like the bad guys win in hentai.

Fate/stay night Anime TV Series Announced

According to a post on the Moon Phase Message Board, Geneon will officially announce and screen a sample of a Fate/stay night anime TV series at the Rondo Robe 2005 -Gate to Date- promotional event on June 26th. The Fate/stay night anime will be produced by Studio Deen, based on the best selling adult visual novel PC game from Type-Moon, the creators of Tsukihime.

Target Stores to Cease Carrying Anime

AnimeNation has been informed by a reliable source that Target discount stores nationwide will cease carrying anime DVDs on October 16. Occasional exceptions will be made thereafter for high profile, primarily self contained movie releases. Between now and October, Target stores will be reducing the number of new anime DVDs that they choose to carry.

CMX Announces New Acquisitions

DC Comics’ CMX line has announced the American release of two new manga series:

Sanbe Kei’s Testarotho volume 1 will be released on August 3rd.

Narushima Yuri’s Young Magician volume 1 will be released on August 31st.

CMX has also confirmed that despite nationwide consumer outrage, the Tenjho Tenge manga will continue to be censored for its American release.

According to Galaxy Anime, Square Enix confirmed at its E3 press conference that the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie will be simultaneously released in Japan and America this September.
