Bandai and Sunrise Splitting Up?

There has been a report from a fairly reliable source that Bandai, the team that has produced Escaflowne, and many of the Gundam series, including Gundam Wing and Gundam X, have split up. This seems at least to be part of a story, so while maybe it should be classified as a rumor, it should be classified as one with weight behind it.
